Growing flowers in Colorado can be challenging with the drought, high temperatures, hail, wind, and various pests, but the Single Blend Trailing Nasturtium performed quite admirably. Roughly 80% of the seeds germinated after I soaked the seeds overnight prior to planting late May. I used a 50/50 mixture of new potting soil and old soil in a location that only receives direct sun for about 2-6 hours, depending on the time of summer. The prior year I planted the seeds in 100% fresh potting soil in a more protected location with morning sun only and noticed the leaves were abundant and flawless (unlike this year), but there were very few flowers compared to this season. Perhaps there's a way to have both flawless leaves and abundant flowers in challenging Colorado, but I'm completely happy with one or the other.

I recently purchased these to plant in my autumn pots and baskets along with trailing black-eyed susan and a , marigold, and few pansy varieties. Neither these seeds nor the black-eyed susan germinated at ALL! I am a little disappointed as I was looking forward to enjoying these blooms this autumn.

I have tried multiple ways to germinate. Indoors, soaking, not soaking, scarifying, direct sow and all but one single plant survived/ germinated. I'm so disappointed.

These seeds are hardy! I thought I had accidentally killed my nasturtium multiple times, but they keep coming back, so I’d say these are quality seeds!
